STANDARD RESTRICTED &
PROHIBITED COMMODITIES

The export of certain items are
restricted or prohibited by Federal
Government Agencies both
domestically and abroad. Below you
will find a broad list of restricted or
prohibited items.

prohibited or restricted items and it is
ultimately your responsibility to know if
your items are okay to ship. You have

Prohibited Commodities
Any commodity in this category should
(without exception) be refused for
carriage, regardless of value, business
potential or who the customer
is. There is no exception process
available.

The list of prohibited commodities will
be formally reviewed on a yearly basis,
and any changes to this list will then be
formally communicated.


Live animals, Fish, Reptiles, Snakes ,
Birds, Insects
Bullion (of any precious metal)
Currency
Cash-like Negotiable Instruments in
the Bearer form with the Exception of
event tickets
Complete Firearms, ammunition,
explosives and weapons (parts there
of including paintball, pellet guns, air
rifles, etc.)
Imitation (replica) Firearms, weapons,
explosive devices or ammunition
Pornography
Drugs/Narcotics (illegal)
Human remains or ashes
Counterfeit or Pirated goods or
material
Any items requiring an export license
Gems, precious metals, and stones
Dry Ice




Any item(s), the carriage of which is
prohibited by any law, regulation or
stature of any federal, state or local
government to or through which the
shipment may be carried.
Restricted commodities

May be acceptable for transport
The following commodities may be
acceptable for transportation with pre-
approval, if certain conditions or
circumstances are fulfilled. Please
contact us for more
information. Additional fees may apply.


Alcoholic Beverages
(e.g. beer, wine, spirits). Outside the
U.S. may be acceptable to send wine,
beer and spirits from licensed
distributors.

(Hazardous or combustible materials,
including asbestos and ammunition
as defined by 49CFR, ICAO/IATA or
by applicable sea or road transport
regulations).
Dangerous Goods

Not permitted to be sent outside the
U.S. with the exception of dry ice,
diagnostic specimens (UN3373) AND
eqS (EXCEPTED Quantities) to certain
predefined sectors.



Over individual unit values of USD 100
(finished jewelry including watches).
Jewelry

Adult signature required. Outside the
U.S. many countries have specific
import restrictions. Please contact
Customer Service for details.
Special Care

Tobacco Products

The following commodities may be
acceptable for transport without
restriction unless otherwise noted, if
the following conditions are accepted
by the shipper:
Artwork, Antiques and Collectibles

Independent proof of value
(replacement) must be available upon
request
Shipments must be professionally
packaged
Shipments in excess of USD 10,000
must be approved before items of this
value can be shipped (please contact
a sales representative for more
details)


Medical Samples
(e.g. biological/diagnostic specimens,
blood, urine, bodily fluids, etc.)
May only be carried if NOT classified
as infectious or dangerous goods
Items must be packaged and labeled
according to proper regulations
Shipments must be sent through
Express Air Service
We are not liable for spoilage or
degradation of goods due to delays


Perishable Items
(e.g. flowers, plants, foodstuffs, items
requiring temperature control, etc.)
Express shipments are not
temperature controlled, therefore,
items must be packaged
appropriately for transit.
o Shipments must be packed
appropriately for 24 hours greater
than estimated transit time

Perishable shipments must not
exceed USD 5000
Shipments must be sent through
Express Air Service
We are not liable for spoilage or
degradation of goods due to delays


Batteries of any kind cannot be
exported unless properly packaged and
declared

Lithium Batteries (Ion and Metal)

Mobile telephones (cell phones),
accessories and laptops, handheld
electronic devices (e.g. iPods, X boxes,
Blackberrys, MP3 players), CPUs
Iinsured or uninsured) in excess of
EUR 250k per airwaybill or per pick-up,
need to be approved prior to shipping.
