Title page
This is a puff that I added on to the title
page which gives the reader something
for nothing. I added the shape by using
the shapes tool on the left side of the
screen

compared to the rest
and stands out.
This cover photo is a medium close
up of a person studying to fit one of
the cover lines used on this, I have
not done it correctly as the person in
the picture is meant to be looking at
the camera & also there is writing
going across his face which is not
aloud.

Front cover.
My front cover follows the media magazine codes & conventions as it has a
title of 2 words long with a unique font of its own which is not on any other
part of the magazine, it also includes a puff and a main image on the cover
with 5 cover lines. It also has a price and date of the issue as well as a
barcode on the bottom right.
My front cover doesnt follow the codes and conventions as the person in
the image is not facing the camera, and also there is writing which goes
across his face which is not allowed.
I created the front cover on photoshop and added text using the text tool, I
added the puff using the shapes tool then added text into the middle of it, I
cropped the picture to fir the demand of the picture being a medium close
up.

contents page is spelt
wrong, it should be

covers 3 sections.

such as reviews or things which
may give information needed for
the students require. it features
one picture which is an image of
text books.
Contents page
My contents page follows the codes and conventions as it has a main
title with a unique writing in the top left corner and what the page is,
e.g. the contents page. It has subheading which tell you about one
section of the magazine and covers all topics related to the sub
heading and has the page numbers located next to the topics. My
contents page does not follow the rule of having 1 main image as it
has 4 in total. Each section is located in columns which are school
food, sports, other and featured.
I created the contents page on quark by adding 3 columns and text,
the pictures were put onto quark by uploading them onto photoshop,
decreasing the size, then re uploading them onto quark.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of
the product and use of new media
technology?
I created the front cover on photoshop but which was not a new
technology to me as I have used it before in GCSE graphics, Quark on
the other hand was a little bit difficult only because the pictures that I
uploaded onto the program would not fit into the spaces I wanted
them to, so I had to upload the pictures onto photoshop and
decrease the size, then re uploaded them onto quark.
The weaknesses of my media work are that the main image on the
front cover is not correct, the person should be staring at the camera
when the image was taken. My contents page weaknesses are that
the title crescent news is not spelt correctly compared to the title
page version.
