Legal Status

FANJ was created on
May 16th, 1994
according to Statutes
accredited before the Ministry of Justice of
Cuba as:

A Civil, Non Governmental, autonomous,
cultural and scientific not for profit Organization,
with the capacity to have its own heritage, rights
and obligations under the current Cuban legal
Framework.

More than 50 International cooperation projects
implemented in 17 years.
Many exchange programs done with more than 20
organizations from Canada, Mexico, Ecuador,
Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, Italy,
Holland, European Union, and others.
Consultive Status in ECOSOC, worked for many years
with UNESCO, UNEP, UNDP and other UN Programs.
Accredited to the UNCDD, applying for UNCBD,
UNCCC.
Members of UICN since 2003.
Participation in multiple networks like CRIES, AGUILA,
CLACSO, CIAF
