The usual resident population of the London Borough of Richmond upon


Thames according to the 2011 Census estimate is 187,000.

The 2011 Census data tells us that Kew has the highest population in the
borough (11,436 people) which is 21.8% bigger than Hampton North, the
town with the smallest population (9,387 people).

The population of Richmond is made up of 48.7% men and 51.3%


women a slightly more pronounced reflection of the higher proportion
of women in England and Wales, England and London.

13.5% of the population are people aged 65 and over and 2.1% are
aged 85 and over.
