The key thing to remember is that initiatives


aim to get MORE PEOPLE ACTIVE and therefore
leading a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!!

Why?
Delivered through agencies with common aims:

0 Retain people in sport
0 Create opportunities for talented performers

Who?
Target priority groups where participation is
low:
0 Lower social-economic groups
0 Adults with a limiting disability or illness
0 Women and girls
0 Minority ethnic groups

AIM: Increase participation get more people

WHY? To improve health (physical, mental and social
wellbeing) and fitness

entertainment from better performers
