Evertson and Harris (1991) offer eight guidelines for
classroom rules:

Always applicable
Stated positely
Stated behaviourally
Consistent with teachers own philosophy of how
student learn best.

Importance of Classroom routines

When routines and procedures are carefully
taught,
modeled, and established in the
classroom, children
know whats expected of them and how to
do certain
things on their own.

How will student turn in work?
How will student distribute handout?

D. Dismissal from Class or school.
