QC vs QA
Quality Control-Techniques and activities
which are used to fulfill requirements of
quality.
Quality Assurance-All the planned and
systematic actions necessary to provide
adequate confidence that a product or
service will satisfy given requirements of
quality
Quality Control
QC-Checks carried out to see if the garment which
is manufactured conforms to the required
specifications to be a quality product.Normally these
checks are carried after a garment has passed
through a stage of production e.g.-Cutting,stitching.
If the garment doesn't meet the specification then
the manufacturer has 3 options Send the garment for alteration
Reject the garment
sell the garment as a second at a discount.
Quality Assurance
QA-To assure quality,one has to ensure quality.
Systematic controls at every stage ,so that the
chances of an inferior garment coming out of the
production line are nil or minimal.
Inspection in reference to quality control is the
visual examination of raw materials,partially
finished components & completely finished
garments in relation to standards &
specifications.
Quality Management
Aspect of overall management function
that determines and implements quality
policy

company culture, performance standard,
goal setting, continual improvement,
training, cost of quality
