INTRODUCTION

LAKSHMI ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEMS is one of the group


company of Lakshmi Machine Works(LMW) Coimbatore.

Leading textile machinery manufacturer in India and one among the three
in the world to produce the entire range of spinning machines with annual
turnover of around INR 300 crores.

In 1984, LAKSHMI ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEMS started


manufacturing control panels and plastic components.

Their strong engineering teamwork closely with customers to derive value


engineering and compromising on quality.

LECS is fully equipped to build control panels for various industrial


applications such as textile machinery, machine tools, auto motive power
factor control panels.

IDENTIFICATION OF ISSUE

The main issue identified in LAKSHMI ELECTRICAL CONTROL


SYSTEMS Limited is there is a lack of role clarity among the staffs of HR
department

Though the structure of the HR department is perfectly framed, there is lack


of role specificity among the employees. Since there are no formally written
roles for the employees, there is no proper progress in workflow

And no proper steps have been taken to dissolve the issue. Because of this
issue dissatisfaction among the employees

It was observed that there is also overlapping of jobs between two staffs
which creates a lot of confusions. Important works are pending due to this
problem

Lack of job description

Lack of proper administration

EFFECT OF THE ISSUE


Without

proper job description they can have a chance of clash between the employees in the

department
Due

to no proper job description employees work gets overloaded and they are doing overtime

work all the days because they cannot complete their jobs in time, because their work gets
combined, they dont have a description and they are doing their work just generally
And

also misunderstandings can also occur between the employees because of the work is not

separated properly
This

issue causes a lot of hindrance for the employees performance. Until and unless they

understand their roles and responsibilities and the expectations of the managers.
Without

a written job description it does not serves as the basis for an employees annual review.

Some losses have been occurring to the company because of delay in work.

When we take transport to the employees who are working overtime and
extra job, for that transportation is an extra unnecessary expense to the
company, while giving a transportation to these kind of

overtime job

employees.

They have a huge diesel expenses daily for up and down, this is one financial
loss to the company. Per day the amount of expense for the transportation,
electricity and the refreshment charges is Rs.1300 per day

Appointing an another person

Management should interfere

Prioritizing the work

ACTION PLAN

A job description should be practical, clear and accurate to effectively define


ones needs. Good job description typically begin with a careful analysis of the
important facts about a job such as,

Individual tasks involved

The methods used to complete the tasks

The purpose and responsibilities of the job

CONCLUSION
The training that I underwent in Lakshmi Electrical Control Systems limited
gave me immense knowledge to gain practical exposure. The learning during
training period is the entire process and functions of the organization. The issue
that I observed during my training period is there is no job description concept.
I worked out the issue and found suggestion to solve that issue which it will
definitely help the organization to solve the issue .
