Kirloskar Group is an Indian Conglomerate with sales exceeding $2.5 billion.

Kirloskar was established way back in nineteenth century by Late Sh. Laxmanrao
Kirloskar began with manufacturing of agriculture equipment.

Kirloskar started with manufacturing iron plough and later moved to Kundal where it
established the first industrial township named Kirloskarvadi.

Kirloskar Brothers Limited is the flagship and holding company of Kirloskar Group and is
the largest manufacturer of pumps and valves in India.

Currently headed by Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, the group also undertakes turnkey projects
through subsidiary company, Kirloskar Construction and Engineers Limited.

The company exports to over 70 countries across the globe.

Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. Started in 1888, began with the manufacturing of fodder
cutters and iron ploughs. The company also manufactured groundnut shellers,
sugarcane crushers and pumps.

In 1920, the company was incorporated and became Kirloskar Brothers Limited
(KBL).

Kirloskar Brothers Limited is a world class pump manufacturing company with

expertise in engineering and management of systems for fluid management.

It is the largest pump manufacturer in India and fifth largest in the world in terms
of volumes and sales.

The market share of Kirloskar Brothers Limited is approximately 34% which is way
too high then its competitors.

It has 12700 channel partners in India and 80 overseas and is supported by

network of authorised service centres and authorised refurbishment centres.

All plants of KBL are ISO 9001 7 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14000 Environment
Standard certified. They apply Total Quality Management Tools using European
Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) model.
