Mutraghata :- Retention of urine or obstruction of urine.
Aghata = Vitiation.
Acharya sushrut has mentioned 12 types :-

Vitiated vayu get localised in the region between rectum and
urinary bladder.
 Causes dense,fixed &raised stone like glandular swelling.
Leads to retention of faeces,urine & flatus.
Distention & excruciating pain in urinary bladder

4.MUTRATITA :-

 Mutravegadharan for long time

 Pt fails to void the urine with normal speed
 Passing of urine with straining
 Mild pain
 Repeated flow of urine
 Small quantity
5.MUTRAJATHARA : -
6.MUTROTSANGA :-

 Urine accumulated in urinary bladder or urethra or

glans penis.
 On straining pt passes urine slowly.
 Pain may be present or absent.
7.MUTRAKSHAYA : -
8.MUTRAGRANTHI : -

 A round, small, fixed & severely painful cyst obstructs

the urinary passage.
 Causes pain while micturition.
9.MUTRASHUKRA :-

Person who indulges in sexual intercourse & suppressing

the urge of urination.

Urine get mixed with semen:-Appearance of urine= Ashy

water.
10.USHNAVATA :-

 Due to physical exercise, travelling on foot & exposure.

 Pitta and vata get vitiated.

 Burning sensation in bladder, penis & anus during

micturition.

Colour of urine : Deep yellow(Like Turmeric or

Reddish).
11. Pittaja Mutrasada :-

 Due to pitta dushti.

 Urine is yellow & thick.

 Burning sensation.

 On drying it becomes like powdered Gorochan.

12.Kaphaja Mutrasada :-

 Due to kaphaj dushti

 Urine is slimy,concentrated,white.

 Passed with difficulty.

 On drying it appears like powdered conch shell .

 Use of Decoctions, pastes, ghrita, edibles, milks, alkali, wine,

asavas, sudation, urethrl douches & other procedures which
remove calculus.
FORMULATIONS : -
1. For Dysuria : -
(a) Paste of seeds of ervaru (10gm)
+ saindhav lavana + sour gruel.
(b) Wine + sauvarchala or Wine made of honey or jaggery should
be taken while eating meat.
(c) Wine(made of flour) + dadima + ela + jiraka + sunthi +
saindhav.
(d) Roots of vidarigandhadi drugs + Gokshura should b cooked in
half prastha water + 4 times of milk.
 cooked till milk remains & taken with sugar & honey.
2.For disorder of urine : -
(a) 10gm Paste of musta,devdaru,murva & madhuka.
(b) 5gm Paste of haritaki,amalaki,bibhitaki & saindhav taken with water.
(c) 10gm Paste of draksha kept in water overnight & well cooked – Removes pain.
(d) 160ml of kantakari juice.
(e) 160ml of Amalaki juice.
(f) Powder of ela + juice of amalak.
(g) Nala,pashanbheda,darbha,ikshu,seeds of trapusa, ervaru boiled in milk & mixed
with ghee.
(h) Milk cooked with madhur dravya & mixed with ghee – destroys calculus.
(i) Paste of Bala + gokshura + seeds of krauncha + kokilaksha + roots of shataparvaka
+ devdaru + chitrak + bibhitaki.
