Such locks have a set of pins that halt the locks from
opening unless a correct key with specific set of grooves
on either sides of the key is inserted. A series of pointed
notches on the blade, called bittings, and then allow pins
to move up and down until they are in line with the shear

or cam to rotate freely and the lock to open.
