To cause pain
Especially to LEADERSHIP!
While we should be involved with
the R Party we MUST NOT ALLOW
THEM TO ASSIMILATE US INTO
BECOMING GOOD REPUBLICANS!
WHY PAIN?
Inflicting PAIN!
REMEMBER its the LEADERSHIP in our
General Assembly that CONTROLS
So our focus MUST BECOME inflicting PAIN
on those in LEADERSHIP that control
legislation.
As quick as we put in people to stand with
us they are being marginalized by the
LEADERSHIP!
POWER
What is it?
Poweris the ability to influence and
direct the behavior of other people
and guide the course and outcome of
events.
How is power obtained?
The ONLY way to get political power
is TO TAKE IT!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$
VOTING
PAIN
Do we have
Money?
NO!
But we VOTES!
How effective has our
voting been?
Do we want change
enough to become radical
voters and/or become
candidates ourselves?
So WHY do we have no
power?
Lets look at
possibilities to
TAKE POWER!

What if?????
We united statewide to
accomplish this
We were able to raise large sums
of money to support candidates
We stopped thinking our
elected official was one of the
good guys
We REALLY only look at voting
records of incumbents & forget
personalities
What if?????
We came to the realization that our guy is
still a Democrat that realized he might get
challenged by a REAL conservative Republican
and only changed parties to keep out
opposition
We came to the conclusion after watching this
past Georgia General Assembly that both our
Governor, our leadership, and a large majority
of those in the Gen Assem. are really only
Conservative Democrats, but Democrats just
the same.
What if?????
We developed a consistent
message on candidates in a race
and got that message to the
public
We looked for tea party
candidates outside our
immediate area and worked and
financed as best we could their
campaigns
What if?????
We actually began to unseat
sitting members of the Gen.
Assem
Imagine the turmoil we could
cause the current establishment
in the Gen Assem if we could
muster 70 challengers to sitting
incumbents, or 50, or 30, or 20
Can you imagine the turmoil this
would create
What turmoil?
They depend on few challengers
The larger the number of
challengers the more difficult it
becomes to protect their buddies
They are forced to protect
themselves if challenged, and
their buddies must fend for
themselves
Other ideas
We determine districts across the state
where there is a close split on Rs & Ds, i.e.
45%Ds & 55% Rs
We find someone to run as an Independent
in an attempt to pull both Ds and Rs
Again the most important thing at this
point is the challenge
Yes we want to have a win but a challenge
will scare the pants off of the
establishment and especially if we have a
large number of challengers.
Lastly A RADICAL
SOLUTION:
Even if our only choice is a
Democrat (In GA in the Gen
Assem we only have to put up
with him for two years); then
two years later we elect a NEW
REPUBLICAN & if he doesnt tow
the line we do it again! (only in
limited numbers)
By doing this WE ACTUALLY GAIN
POWER that we have lost to the
RECAP
We have seen several possibilities whereby
we might TAKE POWER:
1. In statewide elections we use the mini
convention to support a candidate as a
statewide group
2. We find the weak candidates and
replace them
3. Find GA districts where the ratio of Ds to
Rs is close and run an Independent
candidate
RECAP Contd
4. We run a multitude of candidates to
weaken LEADERSHIPS monetary power.
5. We change our paradigm & stop
thinking that ONLY a R can be put into
office. We put in the D if we have too
and then to show our power we remove
him and replace with an R. (must be
limited and not recommended for
President of USA, Gov)
6. Raise money. PAC?
RECAP Contd
7. Our decisions of support are
only made on actual voting
records
8. Stop the my guy is one of
the good guys thinking unless
the record supports it.
9. We develop a group
messaging so that our message
becomes clear and consistent
10. Work outside your
RECAP Contd
11. Understand challenging
incumbents can be almost as
effective as defeating an incumbent.
REMEMBER
Only important
thing is
POWER AND
WHO HAS IT.
WE CAN
WIN!
