Are you

satisfied with
what happens
at the Gold
Dome?

How many of you want to have

power over your elected officials?
FACT: Continuing to vote for RINOS is not a
strategy!
FACT: Voting for a RINO encourages their bad
behavior
FACT: Attacking issues will not solve our problems
FACT: Promoting issues will not solve our
problems

What then is our goal?

How do you stop this?

Is the Tea Party in

Georgia
EFFECTIVE?

Are WE a FORCE to be
acknowledged in our State?

D.A. King at the Union County

Tea Party said that the Tea Party
is regarded derisively by the
legislators as "a mile wide and a
half inch deep". They don't
consider us a force, as they
one did, and have no regard or
fear of us.

Nathan Deal on
transportation: This was
one bite at the apple
$900 million
Does anyone know what it
is to actually do?

Georgians asked for a bill to

EMPHASIZE Religious Freedom
GOP LEADERSHIP KILLED
IT!

SB 127
An attempt to curb free
speech of non profits by
forcing them to list donors
that could then be attacked

David Stovers
morning order

What should our goal be?

Elect Republicans?
Take out one Republican and replace
with another?
OR stop them and FORCE a stand for
liberty?

Our ultimate GOAL

To cause pain
Especially to LEADERSHIP!
While we should be involved with
the R Party we MUST NOT ALLOW
THEM TO ASSIMILATE US INTO
BECOMING GOOD REPUBLICANS!

WHY PAIN?
Inflicting PAIN!
REMEMBER its the LEADERSHIP in our
General Assembly that CONTROLS
So our focus MUST BECOME inflicting PAIN
on those in LEADERSHIP that control
legislation.
As quick as we put in people to stand with
us they are being marginalized by the
LEADERSHIP!

We saw in 2015 that IF we are

able to keep significant
Republicans on the side of liberty,
that LEADERSHIP simply went
around our blocking attempts
AND
CUT A DEAL WITH DEMORCRATS
TO GET THE NEEDED VOTES!

POWER
What is it?
Poweris the ability to influence and
direct the behavior of other people
and guide the course and outcome of
events.
How is power obtained?
The ONLY way to get political power
is TO TAKE IT!

The tea party is a mile wide

and an inch deep
WHY does LEADERSHIP see us this way?
Is it because we have not been vocal?
Is it because we have not called our
legislators?
Is it because we have not
emailed/written our legislators?
Is it because we do not vote?
Is it because we have no relationship
with them?

Why were we feared

initially?
LEADERSHIP initially feared we were
becoming a POLITICAL POWER, but
now after 5 years we have done little
to change the face of the General
Assembly.
Legislators fail to adopt our stand on
any issue because it is obvious to
them WE ARE PAPER TIGERS AND
NO A REAL THREAT TO THEIR POWER

Three Primary types of Political

Power

$$$$$$$$$$$$$
VOTING
PAIN

Do we have
Money?

NO!

But we VOTES!
How effective has our
voting been?
Do we want change
enough to become radical
voters and/or become
candidates ourselves?

So WHY do we have no
power?

We lack any real strategy

We are not REALLY ACTIVE enough in local politics
We fail to unite behind a single candidate
We refuse to unite with others in the Tea Party
All Tea Party people are very independent &
believe the person THEY have settled on is the
only one for the job
In the State of GA there has not been a major
upset caused by the tea party in elections
So the end result is we currently possess NO
POWER

So the question becomes

what can we do to take
power by using our votes?

We must recognize the primary

dynamics at work in elections?
The establishment depends on
these facts:
No matter what happens
No matter who the nominee is
People will not go outside of the
box
The people will always vote for
the R
This means in GA that
LEADERSHIP holds the power!

The fact that no matter what

happens, people vote for the R
regardless of HOW the R VOTED
in the past, and
often we dont even know HOW
they voted in the past, yet we
put them back into office!
This fact is killing our Republican
form of Government!

Lets look at
possibilities to
TAKE POWER!

Ways we can take POWER

Voting an incumbent out of office
can have an effect BUT
Forcing LEADERSHIP to have to
spend its money inflicts real
PAIN!
A very radical but effective
concept would be to replace a
bad R with a D if thats the only
option. Its only for two years

First, the State

level WHAT
might we do?

Could we have a mini

convention that hosts a
round robin election to
determine whom we would
support?

What if?????
We united statewide to
accomplish this
We were able to raise large sums
of money to support candidates
We stopped thinking our
elected official was one of the
good guys
We REALLY only look at voting
records of incumbents & forget
personalities

What if?????
We came to the realization that our guy is
still a Democrat that realized he might get
challenged by a REAL conservative Republican
and only changed parties to keep out
opposition
We came to the conclusion after watching this
past Georgia General Assembly that both our
Governor, our leadership, and a large majority
of those in the Gen Assem. are really only
Conservative Democrats, but Democrats just
the same.

What if?????
We developed a consistent
message on candidates in a race
and got that message to the
public
We looked for tea party
candidates outside our
immediate area and worked and
financed as best we could their
campaigns

What if?????
We actually began to unseat
sitting members of the Gen.
Assem
Imagine the turmoil we could
cause the current establishment
in the Gen Assem if we could
muster 70 challengers to sitting
incumbents, or 50, or 30, or 20
Can you imagine the turmoil this
would create

What turmoil?
They depend on few challengers
The larger the number of
challengers the more difficult it
becomes to protect their buddies
They are forced to protect
themselves if challenged, and
their buddies must fend for
themselves

How do we accomplish this?

We must know OUR political area
We must talk to friends and
relatives to find out whom might
be vulnerable in our area
We must seek out a candidate,
preferable one that is electable,
BUT
Our candidates election is not
as important as the fact the
incumbent has opposition

Other ideas
We determine districts across the state
where there is a close split on Rs & Ds, i.e.
45%Ds & 55% Rs
We find someone to run as an Independent
in an attempt to pull both Ds and Rs
Again the most important thing at this
point is the challenge
Yes we want to have a win but a challenge
will scare the pants off of the
establishment and especially if we have a
large number of challengers.

Lastly A RADICAL
SOLUTION:
Even if our only choice is a
Democrat (In GA in the Gen
Assem we only have to put up
with him for two years); then
two years later we elect a NEW
REPUBLICAN & if he doesnt tow
the line we do it again! (only in
limited numbers)
By doing this WE ACTUALLY GAIN
POWER that we have lost to the

RECAP
We have seen several possibilities whereby
we might TAKE POWER:
1. In statewide elections we use the mini
convention to support a candidate as a
statewide group
2. We find the weak candidates and
replace them
3. Find GA districts where the ratio of Ds to
Rs is close and run an Independent
candidate

RECAP Contd
4. We run a multitude of candidates to
weaken LEADERSHIPS monetary power.
5. We change our paradigm & stop
thinking that ONLY a R can be put into
office. We put in the D if we have too
and then to show our power we remove
him and replace with an R. (must be
limited and not recommended for
President of USA, Gov)
6. Raise money. PAC?

RECAP Contd
7. Our decisions of support are
only made on actual voting
records
8. Stop the my guy is one of
the good guys thinking unless
the record supports it.
9. We develop a group
messaging so that our message
becomes clear and consistent
10. Work outside your

RECAP Contd
11. Understand challenging
incumbents can be almost as
effective as defeating an incumbent.

Most of all, we need to stop

complaining about the RINO/
Chamber of Commerce
Republicans when we just
blindly vote for them in the
general election to keep a
Democrat from winning. Why
should RINOs be afraid of us
when

they know they Just need

enough campaign donations
from special interests to
make it through the primary
and we will hold our nose and
vote for them in the general.
As long as we keep doing
that, nothing will change.

REMEMBER

Only important
thing is
POWER AND
WHO HAS IT.

WE CAN
WIN!
