Jules Gabriel Verne

Gutirrez Soto Gerardo

I was born on 8 February 1828 in Nantes,

Kingdom of France, I am known in the
countries of Spanish language as Jules
Verne , I was a writer, poet and French
dramatist , I'm famous for my adventure
novels and my profound influence on the
genre literary science fiction.
I am one of the most important writers of
France and across Europe under the
obvious influence of my edgy books and
surrealism and since 1979 I am the
second most translated author in the
world, after Agatha Christie. I am
considered along with HG Wells father of
science fiction and my contribution to
education and science.

My childhood and youth

He was the eldest of the five

children
he
had
in
the
marriage of Pierre Verne , who
came from a family linked to
the case-law (my grandfather
was a notary adviser to Louis
XV and president of the Bar of
Nantes) , and Sophie Allotte of
the Fue , belonging to a
military family . My brother
Paul was born a year after me,
and my three sisters, years
later, Anna , in 1837 ; Mathilde
, in 1839 , and Marie , in 1842.

In 1839 I enter in college

where
SaintStanislas
showed
my
talent
in
geography, Greek, Latin and
singing. When I finish my
studies first cycle of my
father , Pierre Verne , gave
me and my brother , Paul , a
jib sail with which we plan to
descend the Loire to the sea ;
however, I had to decline
when
undertaking
the
adventure as it had not been
sufficient planning the trip .

My life

In 1847 I began my law studies in

Paris. My cousin Caroline agrees . I
wrote a play : Alejandro VI. In 1848
I was introduced by my uncle
Chteaubourg in literary circles ,
where I met the Dumas , father and
son. In 1849 I received a lawyer
and my father allowed me to stay
in Paris. I continued writing theater.
My father wanted me to become
my legal career , but I was not the
work and my father mad at me ,
stopped finance me.

Also, all my savings spent on

books and spend long hours in
the libraries of Paris wanting to
know everything. My barely
enough to eat me , which
caused me many digestive
disorders ( causing me stomach
disorders and fecal incontinence
) and nerve disorders that would
eventually disfigure the face
and facial paralysis.

In May 1856 I met my future wife who would be a woman

named Deviane Honorine Morel, a widow of Morel and mother
of two daughters (Valentine and Suzanne). I married
(betraying the cause of my misogynistic group of friends
without Eleven women) with Honorine on January 10, 1857, I
thought I would find emotional stability I needed. I asked my
father 50 000 francs to invest in the stock and my father
reached after a long discussion. The marriage quickly
despaired me instead of helping me. Whenever the
opportunity presented itself I escaped my duties spouse. Once
we went to Esomes to spend time with sister Honorine, take a
boat to Scotland, forcing my wife to return alone to Paris
without knowing anything about me until I return trip (this was
the first time you travel boat). Then I started another trip to
Norway and Denmark. Four years after I contracted marriage, I
planned a trip that would result then I abandon Honorine while
giving birth to only child fruit of our marriage, Michel Verne.

My extraordinary
journeys

In 1863 , following my success in my

third novel , travel to the United
States in a lecture with my brother
Paul Verne . Two years later
published the story of a journey to
the moon in two parts: From the
Earth to the Moon and Around the
Moon . One of the characters , the
Frenchman
Michel
Ardan
bold
-anagrama of swim- is a spitting
image of his dear friend . The other,
Impey Barbicane , is based on the
character of President Abraham
Lincoln, assassinated earlier that
year.

My last days

On March 9, 1886 , at the age of 58, was

walking back to my house , my nephew
Gaston , 25 , who wore a cordial
relationship , shot to me with a gun , with
no clear reason . The first bullet missed
me , but the second hit my left leg to
provoke a limp from which I would not
recover . The incident was covered up by
the press and Gaston spent the rest of his
lifeMarch
in an asylum.
On
24, 1905 , I was sick with diabetes
for years , my death occurred in my home ,
located at 44 Boulevard Longueville (now
Boulevard Jules Verne ) . I was buried in the
cemetery of La Madeleine , located
northwest of Amiens, in whose tomb I
represent emerging from the tomb, sculptor
Albert Roze . my son Michel Verne oversaw
the publication of his last novels Invasion of
the Sea and The Lighthouse at the End of
the World .
