Introduction
•Communication is one of the major concerns of present
era.
•Time when technology is changing rapidly, there are new
and better communication technologies coming ahead
to keep us in touch regardless of the information and
the location of an individual.
•The major technologies which will be the future of our
next generation are 4G, LTE, WiMax, SDR, DMB etc.

[2]
4G
•4G refers to the
Fourth
Generation of
cellular wireless
standards.
•The main aim is
to provide
internet access
to stationary as
well as mobile
users.
•It may be
allowed
roaming with
wireless local
area networks,
and be [3]
4G continuing…
•4G has faster data transmission and higher bit rate
and bandwidth, allow more business applications
and commercialization.
•It is being developed to improvise the existing 3G
applications like wireless broadband
access, Multimedia Messaging
nce & TechnologyService (MMS), Video chat, mobile TV etc.
•It is also used for new services like the High
Definition TV (HD TV), IP telephony, gaming
services etc.

LTE Advanced
•Long Term Evolution Advanced is the project name of
a new high performance air interface for cellular
mobile communication systems.
•Considered as the last stage towards the 4th
generation of radio technologies.
•The LTE specification provides downlink peak rates of
nce & Technologyat least 100 Mbps, an uplink of at least 50 Mbps.
•The main advantages with LTE are high throughput,
low latency, plug and play, FDD and TDD in the same
platform, an improved end-user experience and a
simple architecture resulting in low operating costs.

WiMAX
•WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for
Microwave Access is
a telecommunication technology that provides
wireless transmission of data using a variety of
transmission modes.
•This is used for point to multipoint links to portable and
nce & Technologyfully mobile internet access.
•WiMAX is a long range system, covering many
kilometers that uses licensed or unlicensed spectrum
to deliver a point-to-point connection to the Internet.
•The key behind its success are the availability of low-
cost chipsets and silicon implementations and
spectral efficiency.

DMB
•DMB stands for
Digital
Multimedia
Broadcasting
is a digital
radio
transmission
technology.
•Used for
sending
multimedia
such as TV,
radio and data
casting to mobi
le devices .

APPLICATION
Major applications of next generation wireless
communications are
•Voice
•Messaging
•Internet access
•Games
•Electronic agents
•Location based applications

CONCLUSION
•4G is the evolution based on 3G’s limitation
and it will fulfill the idea of WWWW offering
more services and smooth global roaming
with inexpensive cost.
•As we know that 3G has not yet been
standardized, so it is difficult to predict when
these technologies will rule in this planet.
