Case Study 1 Ubank Internet Banking Platform Development

Introduction about the Client: newly established $5 Billion (AUD) banking subsidiary focused on 100%
online banking services
Client Business challenge: delivery of a 100% online banking platform
Client Requirement: development and design (UI/UX) for secure and stable stage 2 POC (proof of
Concept) Web banking platform redesign and integration into Oracle core banking system. Stage 1 had filed
to meet business requirements due to a lack of engagement by the initially appointed vendor, 120 Rock Star
Consulting Group fraternity members were subcontracted by Oracle to help refocus and re-design the WEB
UI/UX component
How rock star consulting approached the client requirement? we spent the first 6 weeks of our
engagement in not just defining project requirements but the gathering of core banking SMEs, individuals
who knew how the parent bank (NAB) operated and had significant business expertise, these core
stakeholders were utilised in our initial 12 week lock down a closed Agile development design workshop
where Rock Star Consulting Groups senior Web (UI/U) developer, Enterprise solutions architect and delivery
portfolio lead (Bob Panic) directed the assembly to design the functionality, the business rules and wireframe
design (look and feel) simultaneously as the requirements were gathered during the workshop phase

Case Study 2 NPBS Internet Banking Platform Development & Design

Introduction about the Client: Newcastle Permanent Building Society (NPBS) is a leading regional and
community bank based in NSW with a long and proud traditional banking history focused on personal service
and relationships
Client Business challenge: delivery of a 100% online banking platform
Client Requirement: Online banking was new venture for NPBS they wanted a simple, secure and cost
effective design. Satyam Australia had a long standing relationship with NPBS but no internet banking
expertise and they engaged Rock Star Consulting Group to develop, design and deliver the WEB UI/UX
component in under 12 months and a fixed budget.
How rock star consulting approached the client requirement? The core aim was to develop and
deliver a basic, duel layer authentication secure, easy to use, internet banking platform with integration into
existing core banking system (Hogan). We spent the first part of the research phase working with the
business to understand the culture of NPBS customers. Our extensive research indicated a concern about
internet banking complexity and a desire to do basic account management and payment of bills but in a
simple and easy to use fashion. Our solution also had to be lean in look and feel with minimal graphical
overhead as most customers were in remote reginal areas with very slow internet. With the use of
interactive wireframing and leveraging our Customer Super Users Working Group we were able to focus on
the content and the overall goal of powerful simplicity. The wireframes functioned as a sounding board for
the project allowing us to discuss concepts and quickly make revisions when needed.
Benefits earned by client: As Rock Star Consulting Group delivered (leading a mixed skill team of 90) the
internet banking platform working beta within 10 months, 2 months ahead of schedule, with project
savings in excess of $530k. We successfully involved both business and core customers in the WEB UI/UX
platform design to deliver a design built by the customer for the customer, we added duel layer
authentication that integrated into the core banking platform (Hogan).

Case Study 3 AXA/AMP Insurance Platform Development & Design

Introduction about the Client: AXA/AMP merger was instrumental in building a stronger AMP brand, Rock
Star Consulting Group was engaged to deliver a highly complex integration of two insurance platforms into
one Web enabled system
Client Business challenge: delivery of a 100% online, integrated Insurance Platform for AXA/AMP
Employees and Insurance brokers (insurance products/services)
Client Requirement: Rock Star Consulting Group was engaged to develop, design, plan and manage the
highly complex WEB UI/UX interface for the new integrated, web based insurance portal for staff and
brokers.
How rock star consulting approached the client requirement? Early on, we knew it was going to be
extremely important to understand the complexities of both systems and map the future state needs for
AMP. We spent the first few weeks of the project with key business stakeholders from both AMP and AXA, to
get the best of both worlds products and services defined and agreed. We began the Future state research
and discovery phase of our process leveraging the complexity of big data available including broker
profiles and product catalogues, site analytics, and previous user and A/B tests. We began by auditing and
documenting all of the current site content and started to identify and eliminate irrelevant services, products
and offerings (product simplification). At the same time, we started our industry best practice interactive
wire framing, keeping the wireframes simple we were able to focus on the content, services and products
and the overall goal of delivering coding simulations and validation of created content

for AMP, including all insurance products and services, with decoupling of AXA systems and migration to AMP
technologies over an agressive18 month development/delivery campaign. With our strict Zero defects
quality gates and 5x5 development team structure, we saved AMP over $1.2 Million in lost time and rework
over the various phases of the project. Rock Star Consulting Group took ownership of all technical cutover
and deployment activities which were centrally controlled by Bob Panic. This ownership, strict focus on

production defects.

Professional services policy - Rate card - Directors and Senior Management

As part of our general operating policy for openness and transparency, the following are our terms and conditions
(overview) and rate card for the provision of professional services in Australia.
The rate card comes with a guarantee of service and quality.
Invoices for professional services will be paid directly to Rock Star Consulting Group Escrow Account, in agreed
currency (AUD) as per agreed terms and conditions of both parties.
A working week can be agreed as either 5 or 6 days. A working day is 12 to 14 hours on average.
Note: All Rock Star consultants come with a $20,000,000 ($20 Million each) professional indemnity insurance
provided by our payroll partner, CXC Global. All consultants come with 100% replacement guarantee.
General terms:
If applicable: Travel and accommodation is to be provided and paid for by the client for the duration of all
international assignments. Travel insurance is included in the daily professional services rate of all our professional
consultants.
A one-off 10% (of total budget) as advanced payment for professional services to be paid for by the client before any
local or international assignment commences.
15 day invoice terms. One invoice for all professional services
Operating capital and all incurred business expenses are the responsibility of the client
All operating capital is held in escrow by Rock Star Consulting Group before allocation to internal consulting staff
(wages) and for any payment of local and government fees and charges
Daily rate is inclusive of all taxes, insurances, superannuation, and food. It is a fixed, landed rate.
