How We Express

Ourselves

Transdisciplinary Learning

Central Idea
The Arts are used to express
identity.

Mathematics
Shape and Space: Students will learn about
patterns as well as 2D and 3D shapes.
Language Arts
Reading: Students will learn the reading strategy
of visualization as well as learning about good
reading habits.
Writing: Students will explore poetry and inquire
into different poetry features. Additionally,
students will have opportunities to explore
expressing opinions through writing.
Viewing and Creating: Students will gain
experience viewing a range of artistic modes and
will have chances to create their own artistic
expressions.
Listening and Speaking: Students will think and
talk about their own and others artwork.
