Injection moldingis amanufacturingprocess

for producing parts from
boththermoplastic andthermosetting
plasticmaterials. Material is fed into a
heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mold
cavity where it cools and hardens to the
configuration of the cavity.

What Is Injection Molding

Used for?
Injection molding is used for

manufacturing plastic, rubber and

metal. Materials are fed through a
heated barrel in the machine and
forced into a mold where it will cool
and take its shape. An injection
molding machine can stamp out metal
carshell parts, rubber valve steam
seals, and even plastic toys for kids.

Injection Molding in Rubber

Injection molds make many rubber
automobile parts. It makes valve
steam seals and oil seals for the
engine. It also makes earplugs,
rubber hoses and
telecommunications items.

Manufacturing Process
includes:Metal Preparation Plant
Die manufacturing section

Rubber Compounding Section

Injection Moulding Section
Paint section

Metal Preparation Plant:Processes included:Sand Blasting

Shot Blasting
Machining
Phosphating

Sand Blasting:Sandblasting is a process that

is used for stripping away old
paint and rust.
In this compressed air having
abrasive particles is stricked
to material.

Shot Blasting:Shotblasting is a method used to

clean, strengthen (peen) or polish
metal. Shot blasting is used in
almost every industry that uses
metal, including aerospace,
automotive, construction, foundry,
shipbuilding, rail, and many
others.

Machining:Cutting
Welding
Shaping

Phosphating:Phosphatingis a chemical process for

treating the surface of steel whereby
metal-phosphate layers that are hardly
soluble are formed on the base
material. The layers created are
porous, absorbent and are suitable
without further treatment as a
conversion layer for subsequent
powder coating. It is done in 11 tanks.

Phosphating tanks:Tank 1-3

Tank 4-6

Tank 7-9

Tank 10-11

Die Manufacturing
Section:Adieis a specialized tool used in
manufacturing industries to cut or
shape material mostly using a press. It
is made by CNC machine.

Rubber Compounding
Section:Processes includes:Curatives
Anti-oxidant
Pigments
Reinforced fillers
Plasticizers

Injection Moulding
Process:Material granules are melted
down and injected into the mold.

The mold is held under

pressure until the material

cools and hardens.

Once the material hardens, the

mold is opened and the part is
removed.

And the process can be

repeated.

Paint Section:To protect material from

corrosion
Done by spray or hand brush
