END FITTINGS FOR

TML AIR BRAKE TUBINGS

Nov 23, 2015

CURRENT CONNECTORS FOR AIR

BRAKE TUBING

All the tube suppliers are using the above type of End
Fittings - Nuts Sleeve and Ferrules.
This requires manual torquing / tightening

ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH

CURRENT SYSTEM
Under tightening / Over tightening leading to
leakage
Necessary multiple checks with soap solution on
line
Next day check
Repeated tightening in case of leak
Vibration related loosening observed at PDI time.
Loss of air pressure overnight parking
customer dissatisfaction.

NEED FOR A TECHNOLOGY CHANGE

To Break away from the nagging problems
and
To provide a superior system at par with best in
the world.
Quick Connectors are a good way of solving our
problems
VOSS SYSTEM 230 IS THE APPROPRIATE
CHOICE OF END-FITTINGS FROM COST /
QUALITY BENEFIT POINT OF VIEW.

(SERVICE FEATURE)

When Brake Components have to be serviced the Quick

Connectors can be easily disassembled using the following steps :
Hold the tube and unscrew the Hex Nut. The whole assembly will come free
since the nut will rotate on the o-ring without damaging the o-ring
If the nut and the plug have to be separated , simply expand the retaining ring
and remove it. The plug is now free to slide out of the Hex Nut.
For reassembly it is very important that the rubber spring element, the
retaining ring and the hex nut be properly fited and then the tube pushed in.
