3G Strategy: Rollout Result Summary Background Noise Adjustment

Fact Finding:
Uplink background noise can greatly affecting
measurement value, and thus impact to UE throughput

RTWP

Rollout action:
Rollout at 4448 Cells in 27 RNC Jabo on 15 October 2015, 12.00PM
Activity : Adjusting Background Noise in cell admission control
MOD UCELLCAC: cellid =1, UlCellTotalThd=92,

Analysis:
Uplink (UL) background noises are sensitive to environmental conditions, and
the fluctuation of the background noises has a negative impact on the RTWP
measurement value, the actual uplink service load based on RTWP, if the
background noise not inline with the min RTWP (due to not timely update) the
HSUPAload
scheduling:

will be not accurate which will impact the upload capacity.
One of the impacts of functions on HSUPA scheduling is
remaining uu load.
The NodeB estimates the remaining Uu load according
to the current measured RTWP values. The estimated
remaining load indicates the load resources on the Uu
interface that can be allocated to UEs. And then the
NodeB performs resource allocation according to the

and the actual uplink load.
If the uplink load higher , the remaining uu load will be less and the HSUPA
scheduling will be impacted. This is the reason we need adjust the
background noise which impact the uplink load.
