Time Period
In the Fallout series the time period takes
place during the 2070s.
The events in fallout are based off events
similar to what occurred during the 1960s
US was almost bombed by USSR during the
Cold War
China takes over USSR in this timeline and
becomes the worlds superpower.

Nuclear Devastation and Its Effects

In a nuclear explosion hydrogen atoms fuse and
become helium atoms.
This causes mass energy conversion creating
shockwave which travels along the ground.
The shockwave is devastating enough, but
because so much energy is released and the
heat rises sucking in the shockwave which
was sent out.
Nuclear explosions cause burning, crushing,
and radiation damage.

Society After Nuclear War

After the bombs had been detonated and the
radiation had died down, the protagonists of
the fallout games had to be reintroduced into
society.
People were safe in the vaults, but now they
need to learn to survive on the outside with
only what they had when they entered the
vaults.
