Company Profile : INFOSYS


Infosys is a global leader in consulting, technology, and
outsourcing and next-generation services.
The second-largest India-based IT services company by
2014 revenues, and the fifth largest employer of H-1B
visa professionals in the United States in FY 2013
Narayan Murty along with 6 of his colleagues founded
their own venture.
Vision: build a company that was professionally owned
and professionally managed, with good corporate
governance, good employee management and good
ethics.

KEY DATES
1981: Infosys Technologies Ltd. is founded in
Bangalore, India, by N.R. Narayana Murthy and
seven other software engineers.
1987: Infosys opens its first U.S. office.
1992: Infosys becomes a public limited company
in India.
1993: Company issues stock through public
offerings on three stock exchanges in India.
1999: Infosys becomes the first India-based public
company to be listed on an American stock
exchange, the NASDAQ.

organization in order to improve the performance.

dances.

and provide relevant training for them to thrive in

contribution towards the organization.

and remuneration.
Solution: To provide perks and incentives for
employees such that they feel rewarded for the
services they provide.
