PREFACE
GNIIT PP Practice is unique course giving student an Opportunity to learn about
the Office Procedure and its Complexities and difficulties affecting in any office
Routine work. It educates Students theoretically as well as practically, by. Class
room teaching, presentation, guest talks, industrial training etc. The students get
Exposure to the office environment In which they will soon be working.

The objective of training in Modern Office Practice is to give a perspective about


the organization and Functioning of all the areas of management in an Industrial
unit. Towards the accomplishment of this objective, our esteemed Institute
arrange for our training
in the company for the period of Two Months to get an Extensive training in
various functional areas and to Have a first hand experience in industrial
management. I had the privilege to undergo training in one of the Largest
engineering and manufacturing enterprise of India BHEL’ (Bharat Heavy
Electrical Limited) known as “Navratna Company and the “INDUSTRIAL
GIANT”. It is one of the leading international companies in the Power Field.

I consider myself the luckiest one, who got this wonderful Opportunity to get
trained, at BHEL. I consider my fore most duty to thank all those who helped me
directly or indirectly, in getting this valuable experience of on the job training in
BHEL. First of all, I am grateful to Mr. S.K.JAIN Sr. Manager is (Training In
charge) who permitted me to undergo this training, in this reputed company. I am
very thankful to all those employees as like Mr.P.C.BHUTANI (AGM) of BHEL
who helped me throughout my training period. I express my heartiest gratitude to
all other members of (IPM) Department who have taken keen. Interest in guiding
me about functioning of Office activities, use of computer, Other communication
equipment systems such as Working a Access software and work net term as like
IPM Sector. I consider this as most useful and practical training which will
definitely boost up my strength and knowledge. I convey my thanks to all
concerned for cooperation extended by them without which this training might
not be possible. It is with great sense of gratitude and thankfulness that
I submit my Presentation.

Established in the late 50’s, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is,
today, a name to reckon with in the industrial world. BHEL is the largest
engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy- related
infrastructure sector, today. BHEL was established more than 40 years ago,
ushering In the indigenous Heavy Electrical Equipment industry in India - a
dream that has been more than realized with a well-recognized track record of
performance. The company has been earning profits continuously since 1971-72
and achieved a sales turnover of Rs. 14,525!- Crores with a profit before tax of
Rs. 2564!- Crores in the year 2005-06.. BHEL manufactures over 180 products
under 30 major product groups and caters to core sectors of the Indian Economy
viz., Power Generation & Transmission, Industry, Transportation,
telecommunication, Renewable Energy, etc. The wide network of BHELs 14
manufacturing divisions, four Power Sector regional centres, over 100 project

BHEL has
► Installed equipment for over 90,000 MW of power generation -- for Utilities,
Captive and industrial users.
► Supplied over 2,25,000 MVA transformer capacity and other equipment
operating in Transmission & Distribution network up to 400 kV (AC & DC).
► Supplied over 25,000 Motors with Drive Control System to Power projects,
Petrochemicals, Refineries, Steel, Aluminium, Fertilizer, Cement plants, etc.
►Supplied Traction electrics and ACIDC locos to power over 12,000 kms
Railway network.
► Supplied over one million Valves to Power Plants and other Industries

essentially is involved in Projects Sales Marketing; equipments are manufactured
at various units of BHEL are offered to customers in form of a composite proposal
which is compiled at the Industry Sector. Complete techno-commercial proposals
are being submitted by Industry Sector including prices and commercial aspects.
Industry Sector organizes seminars, meetings of customers called Customer
Appreciation Programme, both existing as well as prospective to promote BHEL’s
goods and services,
