Operational Outline

A strict driver selection process, that can be adapted to suit your
requirements.
Streamline Services will provide a personal service, all clients and
candidates can contact us on our out of hours mobile number 24/7.
We do not have an out of hours help desk, we feel help desks do not
give the client the service they deserve or pay for.
A full and comprehensive Driver Negligence Insurance. This covers
up to 10,000 with any one single claim, but there is an excess of
500 per claim.
Once we receive a booking, Streamline aim is to give you a name
back within a maximum 30 minutes, if we feel we will have a
problem filling a booking we will advise the client either straight
away, or within the time bracket given.
If a short notice booking has been taken and a drivers name given,
Streamline expect the driver to be on site and ready to work within
the hour.

This is deemed to be our responsibility to provide
a cost effective, tailor made business solution
through Key Performance Indicators (KPIS)

Selection Criteria

We will assess their experience, work ethics, skill levels & compatibility.
We will obtain the candidates work history, two references, personal
details, N.I. number.
We will take copies of their driving licence plus any other training
certificates, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Qualification Card,
Passport, a recent utility bill with their name and address on, and proof
of a right to work in the UK.
The candidate will also have to undergo a test on Vehicle Safety,
Highway Code, Driving Hours, Tachographs and the Working Time
Directive.
If required by your company, we can arrange to have all candidates
assessed on their driving skills, and trained in manual handling
techniques, Police checks can also be carried out if required.
For our own insurance the candidate must be over 23 years of age, no
more then 6 points and have a minimum of 2 years experience on the
relevant category.
All candidates are issued with a brochure detailing all legislation and
law requirements, plus a pack on manual handling techniques.
All candidates driving licences are checked quarterly through the DVLA.

authority, and are audited on a yearly basis,
we have been accredited with BS EN ISO

PROVISION OF TEMPORARY AND
PERMANENT STAFF WITHIN THE
RECRUITMANT INDUSTRY.

After the initial 28 day period, Streamline require


all tachos to be sent in, if this is not adhered to, our
procedures are as follows;
On a monthly basis a letter is sent in with the
drivers wage slip requesting the return of tachos.
If Streamline still do not receive any tachos, we will
call and text the driver, at the same time a letter
listing all missing tachos will be sent.
If after a week Streamline still do not receive the
said tachos, again will call the driver, accompanied
with an URGENT - FINAL LETTER.
If Streamline still do not receive the said tachos, we
will send a disclaimer to the appropriate company,
along with copies of letters sent to the said driver.

Once again, there are a few drivers who are failing to send their
tachos and Period of Availability sheets into us on a regular
basis, this is again starting to cause problems for Streamline
Services. Also please remember this is a legal requirement.

prior to **/**/****, plus all completed POA sheets you may have in
the stamped address envelope that we have provided.

Final Letter Part 1

The final letter comes in 2 parts also included is the 2 nd Contact list of missing tachos , and again sent
with a stamped address envelope.

Enclosed you will find a disclaimer listing all the tachos that we require ASAP, your failure to return
the said tachos is causing Streamline major problems in getting paid, so we need your assistance with
this problem, on the enclosed disclaimer, you need to tick what you have done with the tachos then
date and sign the disclaimer and send it back to us with the missing tachos.

Under Road Transport Law (VOSA) Drivers are responsible for correctly operating the
Tachograph instrument in order to accurately and fully record their activities, and if using
an analogue instrument, by means of a Tachograph chart. Drivers are then legally
responsible to return the used charts to the operator within 42 days. This requirement must
be complied with even when a driver changes employer. To be able to return the charts
directly to the operator we (Streamline Services) must receive them within the requisite
timeframes to enable us to remain within the legal limits.

This procedure has clearly not been adhered to, and is therefore an obvious breach of the
Road Transport Regulations (Law) As such I must request a full return of ALL previously
identified missing tachograph charts within the next Seven days. A failure to adhere to my
reasonable request will unfortunately result in Streamline Services directly contacting
VOSA to assist us in our efforts to gain said missing charts, and return them directly to the
operator

Could you please return ALL TACHOS prior to the **/**/**** ASAP, in the stamped address envelope
that has been provided.

problem If you have since returned the above charts please accept our
apologies and we will amend our records accordingly.

staff, where possible our drivers will be flexible and

Unless there has been a major problem in the drivers
personal life, when a driver has been booked we can
guarantee they will turn up for work as required.
We have provided driver training, from manual handling,
HI-AB courses, to putting our staff through their LGV
driving licences.
