A lot of people consume vitamin B and C in each day.
-Carotene is the one.

-Carotene
-Carotene is a strongly-colored red-orange pigment
abundant in plants and fruits.
The human body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A
(retinol).
We need vitamin A for healthy skin and mucus
membranes, our immune system, and good eye health
and vision.
Beta-carotene in itself is not an essential nutrient, but
vitamin A is.

beta carotene has powerful


antioxidant functions, helps the
body scavenge free radicals,
thereby limit control the damage
to cell membranes, DNA and
protein structures in the cell.

It occurs in the pure state as red crystals.
It is capable of producing colors change
from pale yellow to dark orange.
It can be used as a color for sugar coated tablets.

carotene is very unstable to light and air.


It is especially unstable when used in spray coating
processes, it likely attribute to atmospheric oxygen
attacking the finely dispersed spray droplets.
carotene is poor water solubility, it cant be used in
solution systems but
co-solvents such as ethanol must be used.
Suppositories have been successfully colored with
carotene in approximately 0.1% concentration.

embryonic growth-including the development of the
heart, lung, kidney, eyes, bones, the circulatory,
respiratory and central nervous systems. But high dose
of vitamin A is harmful to a development of fetus.

increase the risk of lung
and prostate cancer.
Dont take beta-carotene
supplements if you smoke.

Beta-carotene is likely safe when used for certain

amounts. However, beta-carotene supplements are not
recommended for general use.

Beta-carotene is possible unsafe in high doses,


especially when taken long-term. High doses of betacarotene can turn skin yellow or orange.
