1. What were your intentions when you took the photograph?

My intentions when taking this photograph were to capture the
different textures of the stone behind Liam and to also frame his
clothes as the jacket and shirt he is wearing are of a teenage style
which is who my magazine covers are aimed at.
2. How does the final image fulfil your intentions?
This photograph fulfils my intention because the textures of the
stone behind Liam add a grunge theme to the photo which also
linked in with the style of magazine front cover I wanted to do.
3. How is the image appropriate for the front cover of a teenage
lifestyle magazine and the specific issue.
This image is appropriate for the front cover of my magazine
because the model is a teenager which attracts the teenage audience
and it is appropriate for the specific issue because the main cover line
is Liam ONeills festival essentials and Liam is the model.
4. What is the meaning created in the image.
The meaning I wanted to create with this photo is to make Liam look
important as he is linked to the main cover line which is the main
story.

1. How well do the combination of the image and text work?

The combination of the image and the text work really well
because the background to the picture has a grunge look and the
colours of the text are contrasted which makes them sharper and
links it with the grunge theme.
2. What meaning does it create?
It creates an appealing magazine that does not look too pricey and
professional which is appealing to my target audience who the
majority have an ABC1 spending profile of E.
3. How is it appropriate for the target audience?
It is appropriate for my target audience because the front cover
does not look too advanced production wise which means the price
of it wont be as expensive as the popular commercial magazines
4. How does it fulfil your intentions?
It fulfils my intentions because the image and text work well
together to link in with my grunge theme and the production of it is
very good but is not too good that it looks like a commercial
magazine which makes it more appealing for my target audience.

is Aaron Tonges College Guide and Aaron is the model.

The meaning I wanted to create with this photo is to make Aaron
look important as he is linked to the main cover line which is the
main story and the plain background does not draw the audiences

My intentions when taking this photograph were to frame the plain
red background as it is very bold and makes an interesting
backdrop for the photo and the pose Jade has with her hands on the
banisters make the photo even more interesting for the audience.
2. How does the final image fulfil your intentions?
This photograph fulfils my intentions as both the image and the
pose of the model make the picture really interesting for one of
my magazine front covers.
3. How is the image appropriate for the front cover of a teenage
lifestyle magazine and the specific issue.
This image is appropriate for the front cover of my magazine
because Jade made a fake persona for the magazine front cover
named Penny Lane to act as a rising star in teenage youth culture
and its because of this that makes it appropriate as she is in the
image.

mysterious as the photo is very interesting and different which would

contrast in colours of the background and Jades outfit as the
backdrop is plain white blinds and Jade is wearing a black top.
2. How does the final image fulfil your intentions?
This photograph fulfils my intentions as Jades black top really
contrasts the difference in colours of her and the background.

This image is appropriate for the front cover of my magazine
because the background is very plain which eliminates anything from
the image that would draw the audience attention away from Jade.
