Overview
Proverbs is the chief volume in the biblical
collection of wisdom scripture. It is part of the
Old Testament, and includes 31 chapters.
Proverbs purpose was to teach rather than to
narrate the time Before Christ. Each chapter
of the Old Testament is comprised of 20 to 30
wise sayings and thoughts. The sayings in The
Book of Proverbs are often directed and
addressed to young people looking for wisdom
or in the process of becoming wise.
