People who keep guns in their houses risk endangering
both themselves and others. Many accidental injuries
happen when a weapon is carelessly stored or handled. For
example, someone cleaning a closet where a loaded gun is
stored may handle the gun in a way that causes it to go off
and injure him or her. Guns also feature in many reports of
crimes of passion. A couple with a violent history has a
fight, and in a fit of rage one gets the gun and shoots the
other, wounding or killing the other person. Most common
and most tragic are incidents in which children find loaded
guns and play with them, accidentally killing themselves or
their playmates. Considering these factors, the risks of
keeping guns in the home outweigh the advantages, for
many people.

Introduction
HOOK the reader;
Have you ever noticed how many gym membership advertisements
appear on television right after the New Year? Many people
overindulge through the holiday season, beginning with Halloween candy
and ending with the last sip of eggnog on Christmas evening. On average,
Americans gain seven pounds in that six-week period. Do not despair; there
is hope! Instead of fearing the holiday weight gain and spending money on
expensive exercise clubs, you can start a new exercise routine at home. I
am living proof that beginning a home workout regimen will become a
positive, life-altering experience that quickly balances your physical and
emotional health, has a maximum gain for minimum pain, and can lead you
to improve other aspects of your life as well.

Something snapped inside Jerry Sola during
his evening commute through the Chicago
suburbs two years ago. When the driver in front
of the fifty-one-year-old salesman suddenly
slammed on his brakes, Sola got so incensed that he
gunned his engine to cut in front of the man. Still
steaming when both cars stopped at a red light,
Sola grabbed a golf club from the backseat and got
out.

Wrap up Conclusion
Since his roadside epiphany, Jerry Sola has
conscientiously worked to rein in his rage.
I am a changed person, he says, especially
behind the wheel. I dont have to listen to the
news on the car radio. Instead, I put on nice,
soothing music. I force myself to smile at rude
drivers. And if I feel myself getting angry, I ask
a simple question: Why should I let a person
Im never going to see again control my mood
and ruin my whole day?
