Stakeholder Analysis

Customers
The customers represent the heart of any business, but in an industry as
even in the products and services that it has to offer, they are very
sensitive to every single difference from network
stability, network coverage, call quality, internet speed, number of
services included in a bundle package, customer service and customer
experience and the price of course.

Industry
The above mentioned sensitivity gives the customer more power,
furthermore if the market has many competitors or is saturated. In the
case of Telekom, they choose to bundle more products than the
competition: mobile phone services, fixed telephony services, fixed data
services, TV and software solutions (like fleet management or M2M
software), with good overall quality and above market quality for the
fixed lines and solutions.

Stakeholder Analysis

Communities
Telekom consults local people to help them understand and address any concerns
they may have with the deployment of the network in their communities.

Governments and regulators

ANCOM (Autoritatea Naional pentru Administrare i Reglementare n
Comunicaii) is the authority in the field that regulates national carrier activity,
procedures, general terms and conditions, and reconciles the national law with the
European one. This gives the Government relatively high power among the
carriers.

Employees
Employees have two main interests: job security and higher wages. Job security
pertains to the guarantee that Telekom will keep the employees as part of its
business. Higher wages are a typical interest, especially because the firm
continues to give low wages to its employees.
Being in this position, the employees have both high interest and high power.

Stakeholder Analysis

Suppliers
Telekom has long business relationships with their suppliers, having profitable
contracts for both parties. With the size and diversity of the network, they benefit
from good response times, professional support and high quality equipment. The
market for suppliers is saturated so their interest is high but their power is low.

Managers and Stockholders

The voting majority of stockholders are from the Greek company OTE, the rest
being spread between the German Company Deutsche Telekom and other
external stockholders.
Typically the managers and stakeholders have high interest and high power in the
company.

Investors
Telekom prioritizes investors in its strategies. This is one of the reasons why
Telekom continues
to invest in technology and development
