to finished. Started on 14 th August, 2015 and ended on 19th August, 2015.
The 2 artists Taib AUR & Jefri bin Abdul cooperate to complete this mural art

Hand Gesture

The hand gesture of the man by


using 2 hands to handle it shows
that the man really appreciate the
things that he is holding.

Symbolic Meaning
The Lego pieces with tall building
shows Malaysias significant building
Petronas Twin Tower.

Connotative Meaning
The word tanah airku is in Malay
and the meaning of this word is my
homeland. This is to show that the
people really appreciate their
country.

First Impression

The first impression looking at this


mural art is that the people of this
country love their country and
state. Therefore, they are willing
to protect their country.

Perception
When we look at this mural art, we
will know the message that it wants
to show to the public Patriotism.
By holding the Lego pieces of
Malaysias and Johors flag, it shows
that the people should appreciate
where they live and born.

Little Children on Bicycle

Depicts a little girl taking her
younger brother on a bicycle
ride
Joy in their faces echoes down
the street, providing a ray of
cheer and adding character to
Armenian Street.

The mural was vandalised but it was later fixed

The mural is touched up in February 2016, reported by The


Stars.
It is more detail compared to the murals Ernest drew in
2012

The girl is smiling. This shows that
she is enjoying the ride on the
bicycle with her brother.
The little boy is holding his sister
tight shows that he is afraid for
the bicycle ride.

The clothing of the brother and


sister on bicycle shows that the
simple life carry out by the local.
The brother who is wearing singlet
also shows that Penang is a place
with hot weather.

The space between this brother


and sister shows intimate close
phase which the distance between
them is 0 to 6 inches.

Selective Attention

As the mural art is painted on a wall


in the middle of empty alley, it
draws people attention to have a
look at it.

Passive Perception

The bicycle is attached to the wall


gives a 3-Dimensional feel to the
mural. People can feel the joy of
riding bicycle and bring back
childhood memories.

country is playing with Ipad which
is a common scene in the modern
era.

The meaning of Brave on the shirt


means that the artist hope that the
future generation can be brave in
protecting their country.
