Clinical manifestations
1. Subjective symptoms

Post nasal drip


itchy throat
hearing impaired
Headaches in the morning
gastroenteritis

2. Objective symptoms
Inflammatory signs of acute sinusitis is not as heavy
On examination of the rinoskopi anterior thick purulent
secretions appear in the meatus medius and meatus
superior
On examination of the rinoskopi posterior appears post
nasal drip

Diagnosis
Transillumination sick sinus will look
darker
Radiography (position waters, PA and
lateral)
mucosal thickening
water fluid level
dark and gloomy picture of the sinuses
Microbiology take sektert in the meatus
medius manner antrum puncture

Chronic Sinusitis
Treatment
Antibiotics at least 2 weeks (if found predisposing factor)
Shortwave diathermy in sick sinus area.
In the maxillary sinus puncture and irrigation sinuses,
ethmoid sinusitis was, frontal or sphenoid Proetz washing
action.
Surgery
Radical
a. Maxillary sinus surgery Cadhwell-luc.
b. Ethmoid sinuses with ethmoidektomi.
c. Frontal and sphenoid sinus with Killian operation.
Non-Radical
Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery (BSEF). Principally by
opening and cleaning the area ostiomeatal complex.
