HRP is understood as the process of forecasting an
organizations future demand.
After this only HRM department can initiate the
recruitment & selection process.
It is also called as Manpower planning , Personnel
planning &Employment Planning.

Includes the estimation of how many qualified people are
necessary to carry out the assigned activities.
Process by which organization ensures that it has the
right no. & kind of people at the right place, at the right
time.
