If You Are Sexually Assaulted:


Get to a safe place
Call the PCMO/Duty Officer
If you have serious injuries, seek immediate

medical attention
Dont go to the local police by yourself
Protect physical evidence; dont disturb the
area where it occurred
If possible, dont shower, bathe, or brush teeth

TELL SOMEONE

If Someone you Know is


Sexually Assaulted:
Encourage them to report to Peace

Corps so they may access support and


services.
Reinforce their innocence- sexual

assault is never the victims fault.


Protect their privacy.

Immediate Response
Our first concern is always your safety and well-being
Once you contact the Duty Officer/PCMO, they will

coach you through the steps


PCMO will:
Assess your immediate medical needs
Explain your options for either Restricted or Standard Reporting

PC will assist in getting you to a safe place


PC will work with you to make all the arrangements
