The concept of knowledge

Knowledge is progressive in depth.
It can mean
Awareness i.e. to be informed
Understanding i.e. beyond
awareness, he understands.
Experience i.e. what one has
gone through.
Intimacy such as knowledge of
ones wife

The Danger of
knowledge
It can lead to either life or death.
It is alluring because it is
associated with power.
knowledge is power
Gen. 3:1 11 gives account of
how man fell through the passion
for knowledge forbidden by God.

 Note verse 5 in the

day you eat of it your eyes
will be opened, and you
will be like God, knowing
good and evil."

Knowledge offered by
the world vs.
knowledge
of
Christ
Satan through the world is
offering knowledge as of the
time of Adam and Eve in the
garden of Eden: You can be
like God, You can determine
your destiny, You can know
what is in the future or even
your past etc.

 Knowledge of the world is all

about power to glorify self death trap.
Knowledge that leads to death
makes one to puff. It is aimed
at material acquisition to prove
that you are better than the
others. But the knowledge of
Christ is opposite.

1 Cor. 8:1 3
Now concerning things offered
to idols: We know that we all
have knowledge. Knowledge
puffs up, but love edifies. And if
anyone thinks that he knows
anything, he knows nothing yet
as he ought to know. But if
anyone loves God, this one is
known by Him.

Knowledge of Christ
It is the knowledge of God
and recognition of the
glory of God who raised
Jesus Christ from the dead.
