REG 12 Tanks for Oil residues: Every ship of
400 GT and above shall be provided with a tank
or tanks of adequate capacity to receive oil
residues (sludge).
REG 13 Standard Discharge connection: To
enable pipes of reception facilities to be
connected to ships discharge lines for residues
from machinery bilges and from sludge tanks,
both lines shall be fitted with a standard
discharge connection.

REG 14 Any ship of 400 GT and above
shall be fitted with Oil filtering equipment
oil content not exceeding 15PPM and for
ships 10000 GT and above, also with
alarms and automatic stopping device in
case of exceeding content of affluent more
than 15 PPM.

REG 17 :
Every oil tanker of 150 gross tonnage and
above and every ship of 400 GT and above
shall be provided with
OIL RECORD BOOK (ORB) part I
ORB shall be readily available for inspection
at all reasonable times.
It shall be preserved for a period of three years
after the last entry has been made.
