Program Updates and Changes

SharePoint is READY to go! It has been renamed the, HHSP
Student Portal. Deduction policy will now be enforced.
Based upon your feedback from the Spring Town Hall, we have a
new and improved Communications Strategy.
Oncourse announcements will be very limited and eventually
phased out. Oncourse is being replaced by Canvas. Please be
mindful of HHSP website announcement feature and calendar.
Major related or cohort specific emails will come DIRECTLY
from your HHSP Program Advisor to you. This will cut down
on clutter from emails that do not pertain to you.

Emails that relate to program changes, policy

enforcement and program overviews, will usually
come from Marsha McGriff, HHSP Director,
Jennifer Poe, HHSP Associate Director or
Darlene McDermott, HHSP Administrative
Assistant.
The HHSP website announcements feature will
have a running list of activities and upcoming
events. There will also be a calendar.

events and reminders also.

Awards & Program Compliance

Students are expected to comply with all Program requirements as outlined in the
Program Contractual Agreement. Failure to comply may result in the loss of
scholarship funds known as deductions. Deduction totals will not exceed $1000
per year. Students who have a qualifying conflict that prevents them from
participating in an event must request to be excused from that LEAD requirement in
order to avoid a deduction. Qualifying conflicts include:
required class or exam, or
NCAA events (Note: this only applies to IU athletes, trainers, managers
and others with related duties).
Illness with a doctors excuse
To request an excuse from an event, students should complete the Event
Excuse Request Form which can be found on the Student Portal
Requests must be made no later than two (2) weeks prior to the
scheduled meeting/event or no later than one (1) week following the
missed event in the case of an emergency.
