A transformation moves a figure
or object to a new position without

Translation:
A translation moves a figure in a straight
direction.
In other words, a translation moves an
object up, down, or diagonally.

Reflection:
A reflection of a figure gives it a mirror
image over a line.
In other words, a reflection of an
image is like putting it against a
