The internal nasal valve is the

narrowest portion of the nasal

contribute to obstruction.
This valve consists of the
Cartilaginous septum medially
Floor of the nose inferiorly
Caudal aspect of the upper
lateral cartilage superiorly
Bony pyriform aperture laterally
Head of the inferior turbinate
posteriorly
The external nasal valve is
formed by
the septum, the medial and lateral
crura of the lower lateral cartilage,
and the premaxilla

the lateral crura, the suspensory
ligaments of the lateral crura, and
the fibromuscular tissue of the ala.
