I-PADS
WCPS has moved to 1:1 i-pads grades 3-12
There is a $15 insurance fee per student that will be required
At this time they will stay at school however it is our understanding that
they will be allowed to go home at some point in the year.
This learning tool will be used to substitute for paper and pencil activities
and to supplement our curriculum.

SCHOOL WIDE
BEHAVIOR INCENTIVE
Purple- Your child has gone above and beyond what is expected of them and
exceeded our Thunderbird manners.
Green- All students begin on proficient. They may move up or down depending
on the behavior of the day. This is the behavior that is expected daily.
Yellow- Your child received a warning or warnings to change his or her behavior.
Red- Your child did not change their behavior and received a consequence due to
the behavior or had to meet with the principal.

FLEXIBLE SEATING
Yoga Balls, Low Tables, Carpet, Clipboard, Chair
These seating choices will be available to 5th graders to help them choose a
spot that helps them do

THEIR BEST!

If the spot chosen is not helping them to do their best then they will have
the opportunity to move.

FIELD TRIPS
There will be a school wide field trip October 25th K-5 to
the National Zoo.
5th grade is planning on going to Mt. Vernon this year and
we are working on another location.
Outdoor School

OUTDOOR SCHOOL
Tuesday, January 24th-Friday, January 27th
TO BE CONSIDERED AS A CHAPERONE YOU MUST
ATTEND ONE OF THE PARENT TRAININGS. HOWEVER, THIS
DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY CHOSEN AS A
CHAPERONE.
