For the trilogy innovative techniques and digital visual effects were used.
The Two Towers. The crew worked hard doing hours at night, forced to
produce special effects in a short space of time.
The production had complications after the use of double-wide, as with
forced perspective to a level never before seen in the film industry. Many
of the creatures of Middle Earth, were created entirely by computer.
Serkis based his voice sounds that used to emit your cat.

They took care of 5 design elements: armor, weapons, prosthetics /

makeup, creatures and miniatures, produced several prosthetic ears,
noses and heads for the deal. Over 40 seamstresses were hired to lead the
creation of different costumes, worked around more than 19 000
costumes based on the time. It had to do ten versions of each outfit, and
then 30 more for maneuvers, and other persons to scale double, so all
designs have 40 versions.

Howard Shore composed the music of the trilogy, it is remarkable how

involved a lot of reasons in order to characterize characters, cultures, and
different scenarios, The soundtrack is mainly performed by the London
Philharmonic Orchestra, and many artists.
Sound technicians spent the first part of the year trying to find the right
sounds. For some sounds the team had to buy animals like tigers and
walruses, human voices were also used.

Besides two Oscar 2 Awards BAFTA Awards, won their

respective MTV Movie Award for Best Picture as well as Best
Dramatic Presentation in the Hugo awards. The film won
