The

mother of his client falsely

executed an Affidavit of
Adjudication and Transfer to the
effect that the mother left no
ascendant or descendant or any
other heirs except herself when, as
a matter of fact, the deceased was
survived by four daughters and a
son

Carranza

introduced in evidence the

Affidavit which turned out to be
false.
In his defense, he said that he had
nothing to do with the preparation
of said affidavit so there was no
intention to mislead

 But

his carelessness and inattention

resulted in the confusion and
prolongation of the cadastral suit

He

should have exercised utmost

attention and read the entirety of the
affidavit before presenting it as an
evidence

They

are likewise held to strict

accountability and honesty towards the
court

was only reprimanded
