THE LONG COMMUTE

BACKGROUND
The Adams family of four lives in east of LA in middle class
community.
Tom Adams commute to work is 45 miles each way to downtown
LA
He is not in a car or van pool

PROBLEM
1. Adams have to decide whether to change his job or not, with
consideration that he will lead to his promotion
2. There are some financial security problems (rising costs at home, the
repair cost of house, and buy a new car)
3. His wife wants to get a job, but theres no part time job vacancy and
the full time job takes her full day time which makes her cannot take
care of the children.
4. His son Alex wants to take piano course, but theres no public
transportation and the car has not been fixed yet
5. His daughter Mellisa is sad and confused whether to choose the
swimming team or the girl scout troop since both activity starts after
school
