Cyberbullying:
- It involves the use of information and
communication technologies to
support deliberate, repeated, and
hostile behavior by an individual or
group, that is intended to harm others.

When it comes to cyber bullying,


kids and young teens do it
because are often motivated by
anger, revenge or frustration.(teen

FORMS OF
BULLYING:
-Sending mean messages or
threats to a person's email
account or cell phone.
-Spreading rumors online or
through texts.
-Posting hurtful or threatening
messages on social

Honestly? Grow up.


It is something that
affects us and the
people around us and
have become a very
dominant way of
bullying in America.
-It is hurtful,
emotionally abusive
and hard to overcome.
-It is something that
needs to be talked
about.

Kids sometimes do it for


entertainment or because
they are bored and dont
have anything else better to
do.

-Some kids think they


are doing good

because they are standing up for others
that are getting picked on.

POPULAR KIDS- Do it to boost their


ego.

NERDY KIDS- Do it to get revenge on


the person who cyber bullied them.
MEAN GIRLS- do it to help bolster or
remind people of their own social
standing.

This is
what could
happen..

When a 13-year old


girl from Missouri
named Megan Meier
committed suicide in
her bedroom inside
her parents home. An
investigation found
that Megans death
was likely caused due
to stress over being
the target of a cruel
cyber bullying
incident. (wikipedia)

wouldnt
want this to
be
someone
you knew.

There have also been 4 cases of the teen boys who were
homosexuals, who were taunted and harassed based off
of their sexual preference. All 4 of them committed
suicide because of it.

Tyler Clementi, a freshman in college. He commited


suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge
because his room mate was
taping him hooking up with a guy. (guardian)

-Unlike the typical large scary


bully, a cyber bully could be
anyone.
- Cyber bullies are very
determined people.
- They strike at their victims
through many resources. Such as
texting, email or a social

-Cyber bullies are just


as aggressive and
mean as a typical
bully. The difference
is, their method of
hurting someone is
through mental abuse
not physical.

- They crave attention and usually


attack people through social net
working sites because they enjoy an

-Boys are more likely to use


their cell phones for their
cyber bullying. Like taking
pictures.
-Girls use computers and
spread gossip through their
preferred technology. (teen health)

Cyber bullying affects one


mentally and physically.
It can cause suicide to one who is
bullied.
Being kind to someone can cause
a life to be saved.
Depression, pondering suicide and
self esteem issues are all factors
in getting bullied.

Bethany had become a victim of


cyber bullying.
She was drunk at a party and
someone sent nude pictures of
her around.
Her reputation and self esteem
were shattered.
She became depressed, like most
victims.

Get help.
-Find a friend who understands what
your going through.
-Talk to an adult or teacher.
-Dont let the bullying get any worse
then it already is.
