Entering The Classroom

Enter the Classroom quietly

Put all homework in the designated station

Pick up any graded assignments

Gather all need materials for the class (calculator, pencils, paper ect.)

Go to your ASSIGNED SEAT

Immediately begin your warm-up

If you finish early read the board for further instructions and sit quietly

All Bell Work should be complete by the end of first 5 minutes of class

If you are late please sign in on the sheet hanging on the door and get
settled quietly

Distribution of Calculators

Calculators DO NOT LEAVE THIS CLASSROOM

Your seat number is your assigned Calculator

Please pick this up at the beginning of class

They must be turned in during the last 5 minutes of class. I will

give a daily announcement to return the calculators usually
called by number (ie. seats 1-5 go return your calculators at this
time!)

NO ONE WILL BE DISMISSED UNTIL ALL CALCULATORS ARE

ACCOUNTED FOR!

Group Work

Before any group assignment I will tell you how the groups will be
formed

It should take no more than 30 seconds for groups to gather and

settle

There will always be roles to each member, sometimes I pick

them and sometimes I allow you to pick them amongst
yourselves (leader, speaker, writer, time keeper, ect.)

Memorize your seat number because thats how I will divide you
into groups when I do divide you up (1,2,3,4 or 1,3,5,7 or 2,4,6,8
ect.)

When Lecturing/Giving
instructions

There will be no talking (unless when needed for discussion and

response)

No Restroom Breaks

Please wait until instructions have been given to ask questions

Bathroom Breaks

There will no BATHROOM BREAKS DURING THE FIRST 15 MINUTES

OF CLASS AND DURING THE LAST 15 MINUTES

You are allowed 4 bathroom breaks per semester. Use them

wisely, any passes that you turn back into me at the end of the
semester I will apply as some type of extra credit that will help
your overall grade

When the time comes fill out one of your bathroom passes and
tear it out. Raise your bathroom pass up, when I acknowledge
you with eye contact you can put your hand down and wait for
me to come over and sign it. When its signed, quietly leave to go
to the restroom, when you return drop your bathroom pass in the
basket.

EXITING THE CLASSROOM

YOU ARE NOT DISMISSED UNTIL I DISMISS YOU

Make sure your exit ticket is complete and submitted before

leaving because this is apart of your daily grade

Check and make sure your calculator is returned before exiting

the classroom YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR NUMBERED
CALCULATOR

Be sure you get your homework assignment BEFORE LEAVING

CELLPHONES/ELECTRONICS

THERE ARE TO BE NO USE OF CELLPHONES DURING

INSTRUCTION UNLESS DIRECTED OTHERWISE

I will try my best to give one 2-5 minutes timeout (if time
permits) that I will permit the use of cellphones

A timer will be on the projector, if cellphones are not put away

and the class is not settled and ready to begin work by the end of
the timer I will start to decrease your break time until its gone.

If I see you on your cell phone during times that are not
designated I will ask you to place your cell phone in a brown
paper bag where I will staple it closed and it will sit on your desk
until the end of class when you can release it and take it with
you.
