Contour Analysis:

A contour line is a line representing an imaginary line on the


ground along which all points are at the same elevation.
The distance between the lines is a representation of the
vertical distance between the lines- The vertical distance
between the lines is the contour interval.
It also represents the
flow of water across the
site. The darker area
depicts
the
steeper
slopes and rapid flow of
water, the lighter areas,
the shallow slopes and
gradual runoff.
