Phocatalytic degradation is one of the most industrial waste

water treating process

CeO2 - the most used photocatalyst (non-toxic, stable and

not expensive)

CeO2 Nps is highly photoactive, the recombination of

photoinduced electron hole will be quicker and leads to
good degradation efficiency

Cerium oxide nanoparticles appear in a yellowish powder

form and that absorbs light in the near UV and also in the
visible region

Standard CeO2 (JCPDS card

No. 34-0394)

All the obtained peaks are more intense and sharp similar to standard CeO 2

Produced CeO2 is more crystalline

The crystalline size of the prepared CeO2 was estimated using the
Scherrer equation
D = 0.9/( cos)
Where,
D is the crystalline size,
the wavelength of the incident X-rays (0.154 06 nm),
the diffraction angle of the (111) peak of the cubic phase, and
is the effective broadening taken as a full width at half maximum
(FWHM) (in radians)

Average crystallite size of pure CeO2 was found to be in the range of

13.61 nm

Determine the morphology of the catalyst surface

The particles of the catalyst are evenly packed up in large aggregates
