The show all together is set in the late 1800s.
Specifically 1885.
The main settings in act one is the school, and the
boats.
The quick scenes in the school are very depressing and
scary for the boys.
The boats being no different, have longer and bigger
scenes that require more sound elements.
Also, the telephone has been out for about 9 or10 years.
