Mise en scene

From the first 3 seconds of the trailer


Mise en scene is seen because the
set looks like a prison, evidence of
this is the guards are all in police
costumes. The costumes are there
to show that it is a prison.

The start of the scene it shows that they


are in a meeting in a restaurant. You
can see the plates and stage properties
to show that its a meeting ant a
restaurant.

Editing
Slow motion editing is used at
1:49 to show how many bullets
deadshot uses in a matter of
seconds. It shows the audience
because you wouldnt be able to
see without slow motion.

At the first 4seconds to cut


the scene a fade is used.
This is a transition edit to
make the cut slower and
smother.

Shot reverse shot is used to


show the reactions the two
characters in conversation.

Sound
At this part the music stops
and you can hear the
characters punches. The
punches are sound effects
edited in at the end.

As the scenes become more


epic and the cut rate is faster
the beat to the music
becomes faster
A leitmotif is used when Harley
quin appears. This is a theme
sound associated with a particular
person. This is used on Harley
quin to show how crazy and

CAMERA
From the first 3 seconds
of the trailer you can see
the establishing shot of
the prison. This camera
angle is showing where
this scene is based in.
Establishing shots are
used at the start of a new
scene to show the
audience where its taking

At 12 seconds the camera


angle is a median close up.
This is used to show the
facial/emotion of the
character. This makes the
audience want to know why
he is sad/happy.

A high angle is use to


show the weapons all
around the joker to show
how crazy he is and
insane.
