What is NANOFLUID?
A Base Fluid That

Contains nanometersized particles.

This particle is known
as nano particle.

Primarily used as coolant

in heat transfer
equipment such as
Heat exchangers,
Micro electronics
Radiators

Application

Chosen Nanofluid
Base Fluid(Water,H2O)
Nanoparticle(Aluminium
oxide,Al2O3)

Nomenclature
a=width of the section
b=height of the cross section

Main Task
To find out the size effect of

the flat cross section

We have done several
experiment by changing the
(a/b)
Rati0 increasing the hydraulic
dia.

Meshing

Meshing:

Boundary Conditions
Constant heat flux
Two types
H1(constant along axial as
well as peripheral direction)
H2(constant only in axial
direction)

Our chosen

boundary
condition is (H1)

Boundary conditions
Reynolds
number=10

Boundary conditions

Result:
Q/A=h(Tw-Tb)
1
or, h=Q`/(Tw-Tb)---------------------------

Where,
h=interior fluid convective heat transfer
coefficient
Q`=wall heat flux
Tw=wall temperature
Tb=bulk temperature of fluid
.

Result:
From our calculated h

value , we can make a plot.
