    ABSTRACT

    Sewage treatment is the process for removing contaminates from waste water
    and house hold sewage both runoff , domestic, commercial and institutional.

    Its objective is to produces and environmentally safe fluid waste water stream

    suitable for disposal or reuse.


    In this project limit state method is used to design of waste water treatment plant

    and recirculation in a colony.


    The major component that are designed in this project are inlet chamber,

    screen chamber, sedimentation tank, grit chamber, aeration tank, secondary


    clarifier, sludge drying beds, water tank.
    It is designed for water can be used for the house hold purpose except drinking
    The water treatment plant

    is proposed at jagathy mythri nagar , 17km away

    from thiruvanthapuram junction.


    The code book used for design of waste water treatment plant is IS 456-2000
