Stockholm
A large city, full of adventure and
places to go, where else but
Swedens capital! Lake meets sea
in this beautiful city, spread out
over fourteen islands. This 700
year-old city is rich in culture and
history. The city center is Old Town,
where cafs and boutiques are
fancy, and the streets give you a
blast to the past. Plenty of
museums and stores are located in
Stockholm, youll never get bored.
Keep an ear open for any festivals
that may be happening in the city,
for they will be an unforgettable
experience.

Gothenburg
Gothenburg, capital of West
Sweden, plotted around beautiful
canals with a calm city life. Take a
boat to New lvsborg Fortress, a
15th century building that has
remained through the war. Find
yourself in Slottsskogen park, a
large expanse of lush grass
brimming with natures creatures.
Or perhaps discover the
Universeum, seven floors of
excitement. From animals to
exhibits to aquariums, this place
has a little something for
everyone.

Malm
Home of the resundsbron Bridge
connecting to Denmark, Malm is
Swedens third largest city. This
city was fought over for years
between the Danes and Swedes,
and no wonder, its a beautiful
expanse of land. Malm once had
an industrial past, but as of late,
has been turning into a greener
city. Check out the amazing
architecture of the Malm
Synagogue or even the private
residential Turning Torso as seen
in the photo.

Uppsala
Uppsala is all the rage at night. Its
the best city in Sweden for its hip
nightlife. Home of Scandinavias
oldest post-secondary, Uppsala
University, students are always
about. The city is divided into the
historic side and commercial side
by the Fyris river. Scandinavias
largest church, Domkyrka, is
located here, seeing as Uppsala
was originally strongly Christian.
Along with the largest postsecondary and church, Uppsala
houses the largest library in
Sweden, Uppsala University
Library.

Marstrand
This seaside city-island is mostly
featured around its fortress,
Carlsten. This 17th century fortress
is named after King Carl X Gustav
of Sweden. The island is a popular
destination for sailing and sailing
competitions. A stay on the island
can include a fancy suit in some of
Marstrands best architecture.

Lappland
Originally a larger expance of
land, Lappland split in two upon
the Russian Empires annexation.
Lappland is now split between
Finland and Sweden, with the
Swedish half taking up almost a
quarter of Swedens surface area.
Lappland is a historical region,
with beautiful rivers and lakes, and
the Lapporten mountain pass,
seen in the very background of this
image.

Icehotel
Styled as ICEHOTEL, this is the
worlds first hotel made of ice.
Located in the village of
Jukkasjrvi, this hotel has been
built each year from December to
April since its opening in 1990. The
snow and ice blocks come from the
local Torne River, which makes up
the furnishings. The hotel has to
remain below freezing, at -5 C.
The Icehotel has icebars, their
first being sponsored by Absolut
Vodka.

Lule
On the coast of northern Sweden
you will find a beautiful city by the
name of Lule. During the 13th to
15th centuries, this city was an
important harbour. This city is also
the home to the oldest indoor
shopping center in the world. The
center, Shopping, opened in
1955.

Vnern
The largest lake in Sweden,
located in the south-west area of
the country. Lake Vnern was
formed about 10,000 years ago,
after the last ice age. A 6th century
battle was recorded here, the
Battle on the Ice of Lake Vnern,
also referred to in Beowulf. There
are many fish in the lake, most
specifically, Salmon.
Vnernsalmon are native to the
lake and have developed here for
over 9,000 years.

Drottningholm
On the outskirts of Stockholm lies
the island, Lovn. This island
houses the palace of the Swedish
royal family. Drottningholm Palace
was build in the 16th century for
use by the royal court. This palace
has become a popular tourist
attraction, and quite the beautiful
sight.
